An AgriTech subsidiary of CP Foods, Axons won the 2025 AIBP Enterprise Innovation Award in the Open and Data category for AquaPro, a sustainable shrimp farming platform incorporating IoT sensors, water quality monitoring and digital farm management.
Axons, an AgriTech solutions provider under CP Foods, was honored with the 2025 AIBP Enterprise Innovation Award in the Open and Data category for its groundbreaking “AquaPro” platform, a fully integrated shrimp farm management solution. The award was given to Axons at a ceremony on May 21st in Bangkok, Thailand.
The AIBP Enterprise Innovation Awards celebrate forward-thinking organizations across Southeast Asia that leverage technology and innovation to drive digital transformation. In 2025, over 115 organizations from five countries—Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand—submitted entries, with only 74 projects reaching the final round.
Axons’ award-winning solution, AquaPro, is an end-to-end platform designed to improve efficiency and sustainability in shrimp farming, according to the announcement. It incorporates advanced features such as real-time IoT sensors, water quality monitoring, digital farm management, and digitalized data collection that enables AI/ML-driven analysis. The platform enables farmers to raise healthier, antibiotic-free shrimp, ensure consumer safety, and minimize environmental impact—supporting the long-term sustainability of the aquaculture industry.
Sunsern Samaisut, Managing Director and Executive of Axons, emphasized the company’s strategic vision: “At Axons, we are committed to harnessing advanced technology to transform Thailand’s agriculture and food industries. AquaPro represents a major step forward in our mission to deliver smart, sustainable innovation that benefits farmers, consumers, and the planet. We’re proud to support Thailand’s ambition to be the ‘Kitchen of the World’.”
Currently, AquaPro is being deployed across 24 pilot farms under CP Foods, one of Thailand’s leading shrimp producers, covering over 900 rai (approximately 355 acres). Results reportedly show that the platform helps farmers reduce costs, increase yields, and boost income through smarter planning and decision-making.
Looking ahead, Axons plans to expand AquaPro to independent shrimp farmers nationwide. By unlocking the power of Big Data and AI, the platform aims to enhance productivity and environmental stewardship, helping build a resilient shrimp industry that benefits both people and the planet.
