As global demand for postbiotic solutions continues to grow, Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) has invested USD 3.5 million in infrastructure upgrades to enable postbiotic fermentation at its Cedar Rapids facility in Iowa, USA.

The investment strengthens production capabilities supporting several products within Cargill’s Micronutrition & Health Solutions (MHS) portfolio, including technologies used in the XPC product line. According to the company, the expansion helps ensure consistent product quality and a reliable supply as market demand continues to grow.

Nutrition solutions produced at the Cedar Rapids site are shipped both domestically and internationally, supporting producers seeking science-based solutions to support animal health, performance, and efficiency.

The upgrades were completed in February 2026 and are now fully operational. The investment follows the expansion of Cargill’s Engerwitzdorf manufacturing facility in Austria, announced in late 2025. Together, these developments reflect Cargill’s continued focus on meeting growing global demand for advanced micronutrition solutions.
