ALCIVIA, an agricultural and energy cooperative based in Wisconsin, U.S., has appointed Rodney Balvitsch as CEO and President.

The ALCIVIA Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Rodney Balvitsch as Chief Executive Officer and President, effective January 6, 2026. Over the past four months, FCCS and the ALCIVIA Board of Directors conducted a rigorous and comprehensive CEO search, evaluating more than 30 highly qualified candidates through multiple assessment stages. According to the cooperative, the appointment was based on his talents, leadership abilities, and strategic vision.

“On behalf of the ALCIVIA Board of Directors, we are thrilled to introduce Rodney as ALCIVIA’s next CEO and President,” said Jim Lange, Chairman of the ALCIVIA Board. “The search was anchored on the qualities ALCIVIA members expect: strong financial discipline, a member-first mindset, employee growth and retention, and the ability to forge partnerships that expand value opportunities for ALCIVIA’s members and the communities we serve. Rodney shares our vision for an innovative and profitable cooperative, and we are confident he will lead ALCIVIA with integrity, accountability, and a relentless focus on delivering value for our members.”

Rodney has extensive leadership and operational experience and more than 25 years of experience in the cooperative system including positions with CFS, AgQuest, Cannon Valley Cooperative, and Farm Credit Services. Rodney joined ALCIVIA in 2020 as COO and has served as interim CEO since July 2025. With a proven track record of strategic leadership, team development, and a strong customer focus, he brings a servant leadership approach to driving organizational excellence.

“I am honored and excited to serve our members and employees,” said Rodney. “We will lead with a member-first philosophy, strengthen our financial foundation, and invest in the assets, products, services, and partnerships that matter most. Equally important, we will cultivate a strong internal culture—grounded in collaboration, accountability, and trust—that empowers our people to do their best work. Together with our board of directors, we will position ALCIVIA for long-term success and make a positive impact for our members and communities we serve.”
