Schothorst Feed Research (SFR) has announced the appointment of Jan Kamphof as its new director. Kamphof will succeed Lieuwe Roosenschoon, who has led SFR for over 8 years and has expressed his intention to retire, effective from September 1st.
With the appointment of Jan Kamphof (1964), SFR brings on board an experienced executive with a passion for animal nutrition. Jan was born on a dairy farm and holds a degree in Animal Sciences from Wageningen University. Throughout his career, he has gained international experience in sales, product development, and business development at leading companies such as Cargill, DuPont de Neymours, and ED&F Man.

From 2013 to 2018, Jan served as the commercial director of Agrifirm Feed, where he oversaw all animal sectors and was also responsible for nutrition and innovation. Currently, Jan Kamphof is working at Hamlet Proteïn A/S in Denmark, where he is responsible for the commercial and business development of high-quality protein raw materials for young animal nutrition.
With the appointment of Jan Kamphof, SFR continues its work to improve profitability and pursue further international growth. “The animal feed sector faces a major challenge to further enhance sustainability in the coming years. SFR can make an important contribution with research, advice, innovation, and training. I look forward to shaping this together with the employees of SFR,” said Kamphof.
