International Poultry Meat Congress bring scientists together in Antalya, Turkey

The sixth of the UBEK – International Poultry Meat Congress, one of the largest events with international participation in the poultry industry, will be held in Antalya between 1-5 March 2023 by the Association of Poultry Meat Producers and Breeders (BESD-BIR).

Poultry Congress brings scientists together in Antalya, TurkeyThe 6th International Poultry Meat Congress (UBEK), organized biennially by the Association of Poultry Meat Producers and Breeders, will be held in Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek Antalya between 1-5 March 2023. Many important scientists, experts and industry stakeholders from many countries of the world and Turkey are expected to participate in the organization, which is the only and largest congress to be held with international participation in the poultry industry.

Turkey’s poultry meat industry, in the new world order; It is preparing to evaluate sustainable production and efficiency, self-sufficiency, local production, logistics service and technological developments at the 6th UBEK. Stating that the Poultry Meat Congress, which has been held every two years since 2011, could not be held for about 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BESD-BIR Chairman of the Board Naci Kaplan explains the importance of getting together again with the following words: “We are very happy to hold the largest and most important congress organized with international participation in Turkey for the sixth time.  In addition, we are proud to organize our congress on the same date as the 100th anniversary of our Republic and the 30th anniversary of the Association of Poultry Meat Producers and Breeders (BESD-BIR). As always, the 6th UBEK will bring together all the participants, including scientists and industry stakeholders, and will also include important academics and speakers from many countries of the world.”

Naci Kaplan, who also gave information about the goal and content of the congress, said: “The goal in this great organization is; to reveal the understanding of sustainable production structured in the new world order, the new rules of global trade, and consumer behaviour that is becoming more and more conscious every day. In the light of science, we will produce the most efficient content that will benefit our industry, and we will plan our own roadmap by discussing the challenges, solutions and new vision around the world.

Our congress chairman Prof. Dr. Necmettin Ceylan and his team, who have been with us since our first congress in 2011, have been continuously improving our content since then, and providing great support for UBEK’s branding on the international platform, continue their preparations with great devotion. We invite all our stakeholders to our congress in the first week of March in order to share and discuss technology, information and innovations and to provide more benefit to humanity.”

Approximately 1500 scientists and industry stakeholders including veterinarians, agricultural and food engineers and medical doctors from 32 countries attended the 5th International Poultry Meat Congress.
