Denkavit and AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG have launched a joint venture to combine expertise in calf milk replacers and strengthen their presence in the German calf nutrition market. The partnership is scheduled to launch in June 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
Denkavit and AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG have announced plans to combine their expertise in calf milk replacers through a new joint venture in Germany. The partnership between Denkavit Futtermittel GmbH and AGRAVIS Nutztier GmbH is scheduled to launch on 1 June 2026, subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office. Under the name Denkavit MILCH plus, the new company will assume nationwide responsibility for the sales of milk replacers for calf rearing, including feeder and rosé calves, supplying agricultural trade partners across Germany.
“We aim to further professionalise our activities in this demanding market by specializing in the segment of rearing calves and feeders,” emphasises Henk Botter, Commercial Director at Denkavit, and Bernd Schmitz, Managing Director of AGRAVIS Nutztier GmbH.
Both partners bring extensive experience in milk replacers. Denkavit contributes its strong European position in young animal nutrition, modern research capabilities, innovative product development under the Denkamilk brand, established market partnerships, and efficient production structures. AGRAVIS complements this with a strong sales network, its well-known brands Combimilk, Blattina, and Multana, close links to the agricultural trade, and comprehensive logistics capabilities.
According to both partners, this combination will enable targeted market development with a clear focus on the needs of German agriculture. A powerful team will be able to further strengthen the consulting and support provided to trading partners and farmers.
By pooling advisory and sales expertise, farms are expected to benefit from more individualised support in calf rearing. Through innovative feeding concepts, Denkavit MILCH plus will provide tailored solutions designed to support calf health and performance, ensuring optimal preparation for first lactation or finishing.
“With the establishment of the joint venture, we are creating the foundation to bring our brands and our expertise in consulting and sales even more effectively to the market and to ensure long-term supply security for our customers,” emphasises Matthias Kutsche, AGRAVIS. “The close cooperation with AGRAVIS enables us to optimally leverage our innovative strength and production capacities and to set new standards in calf nutrition together,” adds Bernd Fischer, Denkavit.
Matthias Kutsche and Bernd Fischer will take on responsibilities within the management structure of the new joint venture.
