Innovad Group has received the first industrial-scale delivery of sustainable fatty acids for feed applications from ChainCraft. This first delivery demonstrates the feasibility of circular applications for animal health products.

ChainCraft and Innovad Group are taking another important step in their collaboration: the inaugural industrial-scale delivery of sustainable fatty acids for gut health solutions. The arrival of this first truckload clearly demonstrates the practicality of using circular approaches for animal health products at scale, marking an important milestone for both companies.
ChainCraft produces high-quality fatty acids from agri-food residues through advanced fermentation processes. Innovad Group integrates these ingredients into innovative branded feed applications that support gut health and improve animal performance. The partners note that the first full-scale delivery demonstrates the stability and reliability of this circular value chain.
A KEY STEP FORWARD TOWARDS CIRCULAR AGRICULTURE
This marks the start of the operational phase of the collaboration and confirms the joint ambition to accelerate sustainability in the animal nutrition sector. This first milestone creates a strong foundation for further scaling of circular ingredients within the animal nutrition market.
“This first industrial-scale delivery is a powerful confirmation of our collaboration,” says Marc den Hartog, CEO of ChainCraft. “It demonstrates that circular fatty acids, produced from agri-food residues, are not only technologically viable but now ready for supply at industrial scale. Together, we are building a future-proof supply chain in which sustainable animal health plays a central role.”
INNOVAD GROUP: SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS FOR GLOBAL ANIMAL HEALTH
“We are proud of this milestone,” says Ben Letor, CEO of Innovad Group. “It enables us to integrate increasing amounts of upcycled, sustainable ingredients into our solutions, moving away from chemicals. This strengthens both animal health and the sustainability ambitions of our sector. This first industrial-scale delivery confirms that our shared vision is becoming reality.”
CIRCULAR INNOVATION WITH REAL IMPACT
By converting agri-food residues, such as potato peels, into fatty acids, ChainCraft creates ingredients that are:
• Biobased, produced via fermentation from renewable raw materials
• Fully deforestation-free
• Offering a 50–80 percent carbon footprint reduction compared to fossil or palm-based alternatives
• Locally sourced, strengthening supply chain security
FROM PILOT PHASE TO COMMERCIALIZATION
ChainCraft and the Innovad Group aim to advance and bring this sustainable butyric acid application to commercial production soon. Currently, it is not yet available on the market.
