The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) has appointed seafood industry veteran Mike Kocsis as chief systems officer, a newly created position. He will oversee GSA’s information technology and certification operations departments.

The Global Seafood Alliance (GSA) has announced that it hired seafood industry veteran Mike Kocsis as chief systems officer, a new position within the nonprofit organization. Kocsis will oversee GSA’s information technology and certification operations departments and report to GSA CEO Brian Perkins.
Kocsis has nearly 20 years of supply chain and operations experience in the seafood industry, holding leadership roles with some of the leading U.S. seafood brands, including High Liner Foods, King & Prince Seafood and Gorton’s Seafood.
“I’m excited to be a part of GSA and its mission-driven team,” says Kocsis. “I’m proud of the organization’s deep commitment to environmental and social responsibility. I look forward to working with my new teammates and engaging with our global partners to build trust in seafood.”
Kocsis is deeply interested in leveraging technology to drive environmental and social responsibility in global supply chains. He holds a bachelor of science in logistics and international business from Penn State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
