United Petfood has acquired Cargill’s dry dog and cat food production facilities in Krzepice, Poland and Karcag, Hungary.
Belgium-based United Petfood, an exclusive private label producer of pet food and snacks, announced the acquisition of the pet food production facilities of Cargill in Krzepice, Poland and Karcag, Hungary. The two sites are specialised in the production of dry pet food for cats and dogs. Cargill retains ownership of its pet food brands and will continue to provide a portfolio of its branded products.
According to Cargill, “United Petfood, which has extensive operational experience in the production of pet food, combined with its commitment and investment in people, is well suited to the future that this business requires”.
With the additional production plants in Poland and Hungary, United Petfood Group operates now out of 21 pet food facilities situated in 9 different European countries. The takeover is in line with the strategy of United Petfood to reinforce and grow the business.
