Julia Aka has taken over the management of Deutsche Vilomix Tierernährung GmbH in Neuenkirchen Vörden’s poultry team, which took effect on February 1, 2025. As the new Global Innovation Poultry Manager, she is part of the DLG Vilofoss Group‘s Innovation Team.
Vilofoss has announced that Julia Aka took over the management of the national and international poultry team at Deutsche Vilomix Tierernährung GmbH in Neuenkirchen Vörden, which took effect on 1 February. As Global Innovation Poultry Manager, she is part of the DLG Vilofoss Group’s Innovation Team.
Regarding the appointment, the company stated: “We are delighted to welcome Julia Aka to Vilofoss! As the new Head of Feeding Poultry, she brings valuable expertise to our team – and we are looking forward to working with her. On behalf of the management, we wish her a successful start, many exciting projects and, of course, lots of fun in her new role. Great to have you here!”
Julia Aka has almost 30 years of experience in animal nutrition. After studying agricultural sciences in Göttingen (Germany) and completing her traineeship in Weser-Ems, she worked for the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture in the Animal Husbandry and Feeding Department in Oldenburg.
This was followed by almost 7 years in the scientific department of one of the most important German compound feed manufacturers in the poultry sector. Her main areas of responsibility were feed optimisation, development of turkey feeding concepts, customer advice and sales.
From 2003, she built up the specialised poultry department at a large German premix manufacturer and managed it for 13 years. In addition to developing speciality products and advising poultry compound feed customers in Germany and abroad on all aspects of feeding, she was responsible for internal and external training courses/seminars as well as lecture events.
As Technical Sales Manager for an American additive manufacturer, she was responsible for sales and consulting for poultry and pig compound feed manufacturers in the DACH region for the past 8 years.
