The Carbon Trust has provided a validation of opinion concluding that correct use of TRADILIN® can reduce methane emissions in ruminant animals.
The Carbon Trust is an international climate change and sustainability consultancy with a mission to accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy by helping governments, businesses and organisations across the world to reduce carbon emissions and achieve greater resource efficiency.
The Carbon Trust has provided a validation opinion concluding that correct use of TRADILIN® can reduce methane emissions in ruminant animals. In the Carbon Trust’s opinion, based on 3rd party in vivo testing against valid baselines (controls), correct use of TRADILIN® can reduce methane emissions in ruminant animals.
In dairy cow diets, TRADILIN® is a natural solution, without additives, which considerably reduces enteric methane emissions from ruminants while presenting zootechnical and economic co-benefits for dairy farming: improved fertility and health, increased milk production. The TRADILIN® solution is based on a scientific basis which proves its results through 7 scientific publications.
1 KG OF TRADILIN® REDUCES METHANE BY 17,5 %
Separately, a new publication was also published at the annual European Congress EEAP – European Federation of Animal Science in Davos (Switzerland) early September: Tradilin® in dairy cow diet also leads to a decrease in enteric methane emission (S. Mendowski, V. Chatellier, G. Chesneau)
It explains that the addition of TRADILIN® in the rations generates a reduction of 12, 24 or 36% of methane, attributed in g / kg of milk for respectively 1, 2 or 3 kg of TRADILIN® per cow per day, and that this regression is highly significant. In other words, the CO2 impact of milk production is correlative to the amount of TRADILIN® used.
If the effects of increased productivity are added to this rumen effect, the drop in methane reaches 17,5 % per kg of TRADILIN®, an average result observed in the field.
More than 3500 dairy farmers are using TRADILIN® throughout Europe. The simplicity of the TRADILIN® solution makes it a model for methane reduction. TRADILIN® is already available in the EU, UK, Switzerland, and many countries across America, Africa and Asia. TRADILIN® is developed by the company Valorex.
