FEFANA has re-elected Adisseo’s Global Director of Market Access, Séverine Deschandelliers as its President for a 3rd term. Deschandelliers will be supported by the new FEFANA board, composed of key players of the industry as NHU, BASF, EVONIK, Lallemand, or CARGILL.
Séverine Deschandelliers, Adisseo’s Global Director of Market Access, has been re-elected as the President of FEFANA for a new 2 year term.
Over the 2 terms she had been President, Deschandelliers concentrated her actions on raising stakeholders’ awareness about the crucial role of specialty feed ingredients in limiting the environmental impact of livestock production.
She also spearheaded FEFANA’s action on the need to modernize the regulatory framework to release the innovative potential of the industry and to boost its overall effectiveness to support the transition to a more sustainable food system.
This new term will reportedly build on and pursue these objectives and will focus specifically as well on working with regulators on a coherent approach between the numerous policies affected by the European Green Deal including industrial policy.
The objective is explained as to preserve EU industry competitiveness and maintain the EU production level of critical feed additives, among which amino acids and vitamins, as strategically important to EU food and nutrition security in a time of potential supply chain disruptions.
