Novus Asia adds three industry experts to its commercial team

Novus has announced the addition of three new experts to its Asia commercial team: Merry Pradana has been appointed as senior sales manager in Indonesia, Januar Ragil Putra has been appointed as sales manager in Jakarta, Indonesia, and Permsak Thanawang has been appointed as sales manager in Bangkok, Thailand.

Novus added three new members to its Asia team, bringing decades of experience to support the animal agriculture industry in the Southeast Asia Pacific region. According to the company statement, Merry Pradana, DVM, will serve as senior sales manager, based in Indonesia; Januar Ragil Putra will serve as sales manager, based in Jakarta, Indonesia; and Permsak Thanawang, DVM, will serve as sales manager, based in Bangkok.

Dr. Merry Pradana has extensive knowledge of poultry health and the market in Indonesia. At Novus, she is charged with utilising her leadership skills to work with distributors, helping them to align with the business strategy to support the poultry market. “As a veterinarian, the ability to assess a chicken’s health condition in the population is crucial in deciding which feed additives the poultry production needs,” she says. “A comprehensive analysis is very important to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of all additives for our customers.”

Januar Ragil Putra will also be supporting customers and distributors in Indonesia. In addition, his extensive feed mill experience will provide new insights to customers and his colleagues. “Customers struggle with the raw material price and quality, as well as the commodity prices of live broilers,” he says. “With my understanding of the raw materials and how they can impact feed quality in general, as well as their impact at the feed mill, I can provide customers with solutions that will help them meet their production goals.”

Dr. Permsak Thanawang will execute the sales strategy for swine and poultry customers in Thailand. With 20 years in the animal health industry, he has experience in both local and regional roles and understands the challenges his customers face. “Producers are dealing with increasing production costs, mainly due to rising feed costs,” he says. “The local swine market is also struggling with disease outbreaks such as African Swine Fever (ASF) and falling pork prices due to illegal pork imports. With all of these challenges, there are ways Novus can help support producers’ financial sustainability.”
