NGFA announces new VP, Feed and Sustainability

Dr. Berit Linnehan Foss has joined The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) as Vice President, Feed and Sustainability, effective December 18, 2024. Dr. Foss succeeds David Fairfield, who is retiring on December 31, after 23 years with NGFA.

The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) has announced that Dr. Berit Linnehan Foss will join the organization as the new Vice President, Feed and Sustainability, effective December 18, 2024. With a career spanning role in feed, regulatory affairs, quality control and sustainability, Dr. Foss brings a wealth of expertise to NGFA and its members.

In her new role, Dr. Foss will lead NGFA’s efforts in feed policy, regulatory advocacy, industry best practices and sustainability, furthering the association’s mission to advance a safe, sustainable, and innovative feed and grain industry. Dr. Foss succeeds David Fairfield, who is retiring on December 31, after 23 years with NGFA.

Dr. Berit Linnehan Foss has a distinguished background, including serving as Director of Sustainability at POET, LLC, where she developed and implemented sustainability programming, regulatory compliance strategies, and industry collaboration initiatives. She currently serves on the NGFA Sustainability Committee. She is also a recognized leader in feed safety, having served on the NGFA Feed Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee and as an active participant in numerous industry organizations.

Dr. Foss holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of South Dakota and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Baylor University. She has authored multiple research publications and has been recognized for her work in regulatory compliance and feed safety programs.
