International Dairy Cooperatives Forum starts 7 September in Poland

Representatives of dairy sector are meeting with European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski in the International Dairy Cooperatives Forum which will be held on 7-8 September in Bialystok, Poland.

International Dairy Cooperatives Forum starts 7 September in PolandThis year’s edition of the International Dairy Cooperatives Forum will be held on 7-8 September in Białystok, Poland. This is the first opportunity for representatives of dairy sector to exchange views directly on the EU perspective of dairy branch with the European Commissioner for Agriculture – Janusz Wojciechowski.

The speech of Commissioner will concern issues related to the Common Agricultural Policy, including the approach of the Member States to opportunities in strategic plans.

The participants of discussion will be also ministers of agriculture from 7 European Union countries. Their meeting will be dedicated to dairy sector in the context of the challenges posed by the assumptions of new Common Agricultural Policy.

The main topics of the 19th International Dairy Cooperatives Forum will be the food security of Europe and the world, as well as the condition of the Polish, European and global dairy industry under the new EU perspective – especially the European Green Deal (achieving climate neutrality of the European Union countries by 2050) and new Common Policy Agricultural (European Union support for farmers).

International Dairy Cooperatives Forum is the largest dairy industry event in Central and Eastern Europe, gathering representatives of cooperatives, CEOs, directors and outstanding experts.

Representatives of institutions such as the European Commission, the European Dairy Association EDA, the European Dairy Products Trade Association Eucolait, COPA-COGECA or TEAM EUROPE will come to Białystok.

This year, representatives of government administration will be also present, e.g. United States – USDA, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

The September meeting with representatives of dairy industry in Białystok provides a great opportunity to create a platform for the exchange of opinions, knowledge and experiences.
