US-based agriculture consulting firm SES, Inc. has joined The Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) as its new member, effective September 2024.
The Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI) has announced that SES, Inc., a consulting firm for the agriculture sector, has joined GFLI as of September 2024.
Since 1998, SES has reportedly helped clients reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact, making their operations more sustainable and safer. SES also helps the agriculture industry and regulatory communities build resiliency for animal care, disease mitigation and other emergencies. They offer a full suite of environmental consulting services to help agriculture clients:
• Establish a baseline and identify goals with greenhouse gas accounting and sustainability audits, including supply chain assessments and life cycle assessments.
• Develop science-based objectives that fit your organization and fiscal requirements.
• Build a complete sustainability and GHG emission reduction plan that includes implementation, training, supplier outreach, stakeholder buy-in, and management.
• Monitor and report on sustainability and climate goal progress. We can develop custom reporting tools or assist with reporting to industry standard platforms.
SES is accredited as a validation and verification body by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) for assertions related to GHG emission reductions & removals at the project level under scopes 1 and 2, GHG emission reductions from fuel combustion and GHG emission reductions from industrial processes (non-combustion, chemical reaction, fugitive and other). SES is also accredited by California Air Resources Board (ARB) to verify carbon offsets under the California ARB Compliance Offset Protocols and the California Low-Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS). SES has verified compliance offsets for methane capture for livestock methane, active and abandoned coal mines, and destruction of ozone depleting substances. It offers validation and verification services for clients and projects, under an applicable scope, where it does not consult.
