The two organisations have come together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement dsm-firmenich’s Sustell™, a life cycle assessment (LCA) platform, to measure and improve the environmental footprint of animal proteins. The agreement, signed 7th January 2025, will see Tianlai Livestock Group leverage the Sustell™ platform to help bridge gaps in the domestic beef cattle industry in China, improve industry standards, and encourage more enterprises and farmers in China to adopt low-carbon farming practices. dsm-firmenich stated that this will be China’s first core data platform dedicated to the low-carbon beef cattle industry. Dr. Krzysztof Bialon and Dr. Hermann Roth have decided on a partnership in one of Europe’s key regions for animal husbandry. Starting in 2025, the two companies will combine their efforts to deliver a balanced and innovative product range to the industry, according to the announcement. “I am thrilled about this new venture with a respected player like Phytobiotics. I have known Phytobiotics for over 15 years from my time with their distributor. When the opportunity for this new company arose, I eagerly took the chance,” remarked Dr. Bialon. The joint venture, named Phytobiotics CEE Sp. z o.o., will be headquartered in Poznań, Poland. From this regional hub, Phytobiotics explained it will cater to customers in Poland and the Baltic states, with plans to gradually expand into other countries in the region. “We are very excited about this new business collaboration with Krzysztof, whom we have known for many years.
