The company explained that the prestigious recognition was awarded by the Management System Certification Institute (MASCI) and signifies CP Foods' steadfast commitment to innovation and its strategic vision to become the sustainable "Kitchen of the World". During the certification ceremony, Rewat Hathaisattayapong, CP Foods' Head of Feed Business, and other senior executives from the livestock feed division were presented with the certificate by Dr. Chavatip Chindavijak, Senior Vice President of MASCI. This accolade underscores CP Foods' role as one of the leaders in innovation within the agricultural sector. Hathaisattayapong notes that adopting the ISO 56002 standards was a strategic move aimed at enhancing work processes and fostering a culture of continuous innovation across the company. This approach has already yielded significant benefits, as evidenced by the Feed Mill Bangna KM.21, which was the first CP Foods unit to implement these standards in 2020. Following this, an additional 12 feed mill across Thailand have now also achieved certification. Cermaq, a leading global salmon producer, announced that Joachim Wessel was named replacement of Pedro Courard. “Pedro has been a great asset to Cermaq since he joined Cermaq Chile as Production Director in August 2019, before becoming Managing Director in February 2022. While we are sorry to see him leave us, we wish him the best in an exciting change of position to a different country and with new challenges ahead,” stated Steven Rafferty, CEO of Cermaq. Pedro Courard explained: “I have mixed feelings, as Cermaq will always remain a special company to me. Joining Atlantic Sapphire in USA is a big personal challenge, and one I feel motivated to accept.” Joachim Wessel, the company’s Commercial and Supply Chain Director, was named replacement of Pedro Courard. Joachim joined Cermaq at the start of 2020 and has a long and successful career in the salmon industry; he has worked for major companies such as Mowi and AquaChile and previously was a CEO of another salmon company, Friosur. “We are lucky to have an experienced professional like Joachim to step into the MD position. Joachim is well respected internally in Cermaq as well as externally in the Chilean industry. I have no doubt he will be an excellent leader of Cermaq Chile.
