NEWS 8 FEED & ADDITIVE MAGAZINE March 2023 Anpario, the independent manufacturer and international distributor of natural, sustainable feed additives for animal health, nutrition and biosecurity, announced the launch of a new product range. The new products have been developed to comply with recent changes to the (EC) 1831/2003 register, formulated to be free from ammonium formate and will sit within Anpario’s well-established Acid Based Eubiotic (ABE) and Feed Hygiene ranges. Ammonium formate is most commonly associated with the production of buffered organic acids, an additive frequently utilised in livestock diets across Europe. The recent changes to the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU 2022/415) no longer permits its use in the following species; laying hens, sows, dairy ruminants, pets and non-food producing animals. “Our new range of ammonium formate free products will enable those producers impacted by the regulatory changes to have a seamless transition to an alternative product, without impacting their performance and profitability as is associated with our consistently high-quality products”, commented Richard Edwards, CEO of Anpario.
