Therefore, these valuable protein sources are one of the most important components of the food industry. Studies show that the demand for animal protein continues to rise around the world, including meat, milk and fish. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that the world will have to increase food production by more than 60 percent by 2050. Therefore, animal-based protein production is expected to increase along with this increase. According to the FAO, Global Compound Feed Industry and Trends “The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) states that food production should be increased by at least 60 percent by 2050. Many countries are already making future plans with this reality and are especially interested in sustainability as well as increasing production. Undoubtedly, animal foods will play a major role in meeting this increasing food need of the world.
