The partnership combines Novus’ nearly 30 years of research, sales and marketing experience with Agrivida’s unique technology. Novus International, Inc., a global leader in nutrition and health solutions for the animal agriculture industry, announced plans to redefine its business through an enhanced focus on gut health and innovation. The Missouri-based company is making good on its strategy with a new partnership. The partnership combines Novus’s nearly 30 years of research, sales and marketing experience with Agrivida’s unique technology, allowing both companies to grow the customer base as well as explore new innovative products and solutions through R&D collaboration. Agrivida, a privately held biotechnology company based in Massachusetts, was founded in 2003 by scientists from MIT who discovered a way to incorporate feed additives directly into corn grown for production animals. By having the additive inside of the grain, the molecules are more efficiently absorbed, and producers can improve both animal performance and their bottom line. Novus is making Agrivida products available to its customers in the U.S. immediately while registration is underway to expand to other countries. Open Farm receives $65 million growth investment Open Farm received more than $65 million growth investment led by General Atlantic. Funding supports Open Farm’s mission to deliver premium, ethically sourced nutrition to more pets and will help drive continued brand expansion. Open Farm, a premium pet food brand committed to raising the bar on the way we feed our pets, has raised more than $65 million in its latest round of funding, led by leading global growth equity firm General Atlantic. This marks General Atlantic’s first investment in the pet industry, and they join the company’s leadership team and existing minority partner, Encore Consumer Capital, on Open Farm’s longterm growth journey. The funding will be used to accelerate Open Farm’s mission to Do Some Good for animals and the planet, introduce the brand to millions of new pet parents, and support continued innovation to transform the way pets are fed through high-quality nutrition.
