De Heus, a Dutch company that specializes in animal nutrition, organized the grand opening ceremony of a new shrimp feed mill in Vietnam’s Vinh Long province.

The company emphasized that this opening underscores its commitment to long-term, strategic investments in the production of highly effective shrimp feed, facilitated by a dedicated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

In his speech, Co de Heus, CEO of Royal De Heus Group, stated: “We strongly believe in the growing demand for shrimp. To support shrimp farmers, we provide high-quality feed, knowledge transfer and access to markets. We acknowledge challenges like climate change and disease outbreaks. Therefore, we are committed to sustainable practices and environmental protection through innovative technologies for the future of Vietnamese shrimp aquaculture.”

Spanning an area of 29,300 square meters, the De Heus Vinh Long Shrimp Feed Mill has an annual capacity of 50,000 metric tons, featuring five production lines exclusively dedicated to shrimp feed products. Leveraging cutting-edge technology imported from Europe, the entire production process adheres rigorously to international quality standards such as ISO 22000, BAP, and GLOBAL G.A.P.

The inauguration of this Vinh Long shrimp feed mill underscores the aspiration of De Heus to be a major aquafeed producer encompassing both seawater and freshwater aquaculture, the company added.
