Norwegian biorefining company Biomega Group has announced Lisa Hubert as the new member of its board of directors. Hubert is currently an Investment Director at Mirova and will work with the rest of the board in supporting biomega®’s global expansion in sustainable salmon peptides, proteins and oils production.

Lisa Hubert from Mirova, a player in sustainable finance, has joined Biomega Group’s board of directors. Based in France, Hubert has more than 15 years of experience originating, structuring and managing investments in sustainable agriculture, forestry, infrastructure and the blue economy. After an initial focus on frontier economies and sovereign lending as an economist with UN agencies and the World Bank, she pivoted towards private impact investing in the natural capital and private equity space. She has on-the-ground operational experience and strong networks in many countries in LATAM, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Hubert is currently an Investment Director at Mirova, an asset management company dedicated to sustainable investing and an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers. Together with AMERRA Capital Management, Mirova has invested capital in biomega® to support the biotechnology company’s expansion into Denmark. Her focus at Mirova is on climate change, natural resources, value chains, infrastructure and finance.

Lisa Hubert is certified with the French Institute of Board Members and SciencePo Paris and has held several board seats in the blue economy space with companies ranging from start-ups to more mature companies in a growth stage.

In addition to her new role on the Biomega Group board, Hubert is currently a board member at insect protein producer (nextProtein), a marine biotech company in Vietnam (Aquaproducts), and a seafood processing company in Mexico (Marativa). Prior to this, she was also a board member of two fishing and aqua technology companies.

“It is a great honor to join the Biomega Group board of directors. Together with Kjarten Sandnes, Hege Charlotte Bakken, Tanja Hoel, Craig Armen Tashjian and Sten Estrup, the board is supporting biomega® ‘s global expansion in sustainable salmon peptides, proteins and oils production as the company looks to strengthen its presence in key markets such as China and the US,” says Lisa Hubert.

A mission-driven company, certified B Corp™, Mirova is a conviction management company that offers its clients investment solutions that seek to combine financial performance with environmental and social impact.

“We are delighted for Lisa Hubert to join the board. Her breadth of knowledge in financial investment, especially from an environmental perspective, positions her as an excellent asset to the board, enabling biomega® to continue to improve upon its environmental footprint and strengthen its vision to be the trusted, inspiring and preferred ingredients partner for the health and nutrition industry,” comments Sten Estrup, Chair of the Board of Directors at Biomega Group.
