Berg + Schmidt to focus on performance boost for healthy livestockAt EuroTier 2024, taking place in Hannover from November 12-15, Berg + Schmidt Animal Nutrition will unveil feed solutions for optimal livestock management with additional health and performance benefits. The firm states that the showcased innovations are designed to enhance nutrient absorption, improve feed efficiency and support overall wellbeing of ruminants, as well as monogastric animals such as poultry, pigs, aquatic species and pets.

Berg + Schmidt shares the following details about some of the products it will present to visitors at the fair:
• BergaFat NGF is a fractionated rumen-protected fat with a content above 97% to improve dairy cows’ welfare and performance. The optimal ratio of unsaturated and saturated fatty acid increases the absorption in the small intestine to provide extra boost of energy, increasing production and mini-mise body weight loss.

• The LipoAktiv range consists of lipid-coated nutrients produced by fluid-bed technology. The new LipoAktiv Lys 40 uses readily bioavailable L-lysine as an encapsulated nutrient, providing a high degree of rumen protection and intestinal digestibility.

• LipoVital WS is made up of water soluble short-chain and medium-chain fatty acid monoglycerides, providing a stable emulsion designed for use in drinking water for farmed animals. Its non-volatile nature is ideal and effec-tive throughout the entire gastrointestinal tract.

The emulsifier product range is also growing further with a focus on lyso-lecithin and its performance in fat digestion and the supply of natural choline. Tailored to meet the specific nutritional needs of various livestock species, trace minerals support supreme growth, health and reproduction.

PRESENTATION OF LATEST STUDY RESULTS
Berg + Schmidt will also be presenting latest research findings with lectures on the Expert Stages led by Jean-Philippe Marden, Species Manager Ruminants, on “Feeding palmitic and oleic acid to dairy cows, rumen-bypass fat at the next level”, and Christian Cordts, Global Director Product Management, on “Water-soluble monoglycerides – Antimicrobial and antiviral natural solutions”.

The firm warmly invites all EuroTier attendees to visit booth A50 in hall 19/20 and notes: “Meet the company’s experts and discover how functional ingredient solutions can benefit your livestock operations.”
